helping facilities achieve
Please take a minute and browse our website to see how we can help your facility achieve Excellence in Patient Care and improve your Neuroscience Service Line reputation and profitability.
The days of the EEG lab being tucked away in a dark corner of the hospital are over. We like to say The Brain is the New Heart! Demand for neuroscience services is growing exponentially across the United States. Epilepsy centers, continuous monitoring of critically ill patients, and monitoring in the OR and ER are commonplace in hospitals offering a complete Neuroscience Service Line.
Unfortunately, staffing and leadership for these departments is scarce, and that is where Neuroscience Advisors, LLC comes in.
With an average of 29 years experience in neurodiagnostics, our Senior Advisors are passionate about the science and how we can help improve patient care, outcomes, and ultimately long-term revenue for our clients.
Cherie Young, R. EEG T., CNIM, FASET
Our lead advisor and cofounder, Cherie Young, has spent 33 years building what is widely known as "the best neuroscience program from Miami to Houston."
Cherie left Children's Hospital - New Orleans after serving as the Director of Neuroscience Services for many years. Her accomplishments include multiple service expansions including a dedicated EMU, complete Intraoperative Neuromonitoring services including ECoG in assistance of epilepsy surgery, and inpatient monitoring of critically ill patients.
Cherie's director-level responsibilities included everything from quality management and documenting all processes, to profit and loss for all departments reporting to her.
Her success and reputation created the opportunity for Cherie to help others, as she partnered with another industry insider to form Neuroscience Advisors, LLC.
G. Jason Mayer, BBA Marketing and Finance
After 15 years of sales success at leading technology companies IBM, Xerox, and Kodak, Jason Mayer entered the industry in sales back in 1997. Jason joined XLTEK which is now a part of Natus Medical Incorporated.
After 6 years of providing technology solutions that address the needs of neurodiagnostic departments, Jason left XLTEK as an executive-level staff member and started what became the leading electrode supply company Consolidated Neuro Supply, Inc. (CNS, Inc.).
Jason operated CNS, Inc. for over 16 years before exiting to pursue a brief retirement. Within a year, he and Cherie realized that their passion for serving patients could be fulfilled by helping others achieve Excellent in Patient Care. This realization came when a large hospital in the southeast asked for guidance in the development of a full Neuroscience Service Line. This first project was extremely successful and even more rewarding, knowing all neuro patients in that region will be receiving the best care available, thanks to their contribution.
They decided to continue this journey with only a single guiding principle, helping others achieve Excellence in Patient Care. We truly believe that once accomplished, all other leadership goals and visions will follow.
Both Cherie and Jason have served many years on committees and as board members of ASET and the ASET Foundation, and have made contributions to NDT societies across the United States. They remain active in many societies and serve as volunteers today.
